Edinburgh: The Studio at the Festival Theatre | British Youth Music Theatre

Created by The Festival Theatre, The Studio is an exciting new multi-purpose cultural resource. Located behind the theatre on Potterrow, The Studio is a flexible space that has been used for a number of exciting ventures; its intimate and welcoming space proving invaluable for a number of theatrical performances.

The Festival Theatre is on Nicolson Street, which is the continuation of North Bridge heading south from Princes Street.

From the Dumfries direction take the A702 towards the City Centre, Edinburgh South.

From the Glasgow direction take the M8 and exit at junction 1 onto the A720 then follow A701 towards City Centre.

There is limited street parking around the Festival Theatre. There is a small car park located about 5 minutes walk from the theatre on Niddry Street (7am - 11pm, 7 days).

There is also parking nearby at Blackfriars Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1TH

The Festival Theatre is accessible by many different bus routes across the city.

The main Lothian bus routes which serve the Festival Theatre are: numbers 2, 3, 3A, 5, 7, 8, 14, 21, 29, 31, 33, 37, 37A, 42 and 49.

The nearest rail station to the Festival Theatre is Waverley Station.  As you leave the station, turn left. Follow the road down and the Festival Theatre will be on your right. The Studio is located just behind the main theatre.
