About Will

Will Jackson (He/They) is a writer, director, and theatremaker. His musical Sea Change (which he co-wrote with Elinor Perigrin), won BYMT’s 2026 New Music Theatre Award. He’s been commissioned by organisations including BBC Arts, Soho Theatre, Bush Theatre, & Birmingham REP. His new Christmas musical Dashing, co-written with Matthew Floyd Jones, recently had a series of WIP concerts at Underbelly Boulevard Soho. Will was named “A Rising Comic Star” by Attitude for his solo show Yours Sincerely which toured the UK with over 150 shows. 

Writing credits include: Clutch & MAKE ME FEEL (Bush Theatre), Yours Sincerely, Confetti & Fashion Spies (Quick Duck Theatre, UK TOURS); The Final Showdown (Birmingham Hippodrome); Magic Hour: The Murder Mystery Disco! (Winner of the Singularity of Vision and Best Ensemble awards – National Student Drama Festival); and The Life & Works of Veronica St. Claude (BBC Radio 4).

As a director, Will is currently working with the National Theatre as a Mentor Director on their Connections Programme. He is the Artistic Director of Quick Duck Theatre and an Associate Artist of National Youth Theatre. Will studied Drama & Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham and clowning at École Philippe Gaulier. Previously, he was appointed a Kiln Associate Artist by the New Vic Theatre, and was a member of the Soho Six, Bush Theatre’s Writers Group, and staff director of English Touring Opera’s 2018 Autumn season.
