Phil is the Assistant General Secretary for NASUWT, the Teachers’ Union, with nearly two decades of experience in trade unions. He currently oversees the Union’s regions and nations, leading on organising strategy and member casework and support services. Phil previously held roles focused on organising, member engagement, and equality, and has extensive experience representing members, including at employment tribunals. Phil’s background in Law and Politics from Birmingham City University has provided a strong foundation for their career in representation and leadership.
