Joe Venable (he/him) is a theatre lyricist and book-writer based in London, with a passion for playful musicals that make people believe they may in fact enjoy going to the theatre. His first show On Your Bike, about delivery riders caught in a feud between two chicken shops, debuted in 2021, winning ‘Best Musical at the Edinburgh Fringe’ from Musical Theatre Review and returning for another five-star run in 2023. His subsequent shows Jingle Street and Rishi Sunak’s Doing A Musical premiered to further critical acclaim. Outside of the theatre, he tutors English, writes a politics blog, and supports Liverpool FC.
