Ed works across both our Production and Engagement work, overseeing our Discover Musical Theatre (DMT) workshops that we run in schools and community groups. They also help our Producer Milly in the programming and delivery of our main artistic programme, including both our new music theatre productions and residential camps courses. Their role includes both administrative tasks such as liaising with theatres, venues and technical/artistic staff, as well as more creative tasks such as assisting with read-throughs and rehearsals when required. They also oversee the Creative Work Placement Scheme.

Originally from the Southwest, Ed trained as an actor before building the beginnings of a career as a director. They worked as a freelance director and facilitator prior to joining BYMT, across organisations like The Old Vic, Company Three and The Orange Tree Theatre. He has worked extensively with professional companies, young people and community groups in all sorts of settings and is driven toward making the theatre industry more accessible, inclusive and fun.
