DK is an interdisciplinary artist working across stage, film. dance and entertainment. A multi-hyphenate artist working across mediums and genres, her practice centres embodied storytelling through movement, poetic text and devising.
As writer and director, work includes: Brixton House (Is Dat U Yh? – Best Book & Lyrics nomination, Black British Theatre Awards); Theatre503 (By Their Fruits – 8 Offie noms 2025) & (Fragments of a Complicated Mind – 21 Eclipse Award); and Without Walls National Tour (Scalped). Her short film Interruption (2024) is a CINDANS26 Award winner (Amsterdam) and Diversity in Cannes 2026 finalist, and has screened internationally across London, Lisbon and beyond, with official selections including InShadow Dance Screen and Women X Film Festival (BIFA qualifying).
Movement credits include the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Bush Theatre, Royal Exchange Manchester, Unicorn Theatre and Sheffield Theatres.
A range of other work includes the UK premiere of Bootycandy (Gate Theatre; Offie nomination Best Ensemble), choreography for Wizkid (Zinarts), dance artist for Big Freedia, Spice, Stormzy, SSIO, and Studio Wayne McGregor (Resident 6 Artist 2024).
Founder of award-winning platform Initiative.dkf (Eclipse Award, Albany Artists Of Change, Melanin Box Fest) and Twerk N V!be: pioneer of the UK’s first twerk festival and twerk symphony classes, with teaching spanning London and across Europe.
