Our People

Krista Vuori

Krista is originally from Finland and currently based in London. She is a Movement Director, Choreographer and Teacher/Mentor working in professional, community and youth theatre settings and has a passion for devised cross discipline collaborations. Her work spans across dance, theatre, live/performance art, circus and film.

As a young dancer in Finland, Krista trained in Jazz and Classical Ballet (Vaganova). She went on to train professionally at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance and later gained her Masters in Dance Theatre at Trinity Laban. As a Dancer she has had the pleasure of performing at venues such as The Barbican, Tramway Theatre Arts, Olivier Awards at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, The Royal Opera House and the rooftop of The Royal Festival Hall to name a few.

Krista has worked with Frantic Assembly Theatre company since 2010 and was the Associate Practitioner on their plays Beautiful Burnout, Lovesong and Othello. She directs creative residencies, delivers workshops and masterclasses in the Frantic method all over the world and had the joy of Co-Choreographing three short films for the company’s Ignition programme in 2021. Krista is the Creative Associate of Upswing Aerial Circus Company with whom she also trained with to learn basics in aerial harness/bungee/silks and is a long time collaborator with the performance artist The Famous Lauren Barri Holstein.
