Cillian has recently finished his studies as a tenor on the prestigious joint course between the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Manchester. As a conductor Cillian has lead the University of Manchester Medic’s Orchestra, Mydel Ladies Choir and has recently been offered a conducting scholarship with the Leeds Festival Chorus. His musical directing credits include productions of The Mikado, Annie, Oliver!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, he has previously worked with BYMT as an assistant musical director for their 2014 production of Triptych.
Through his choral experience Cillian has enjoyed singing with the National Youth Choir, Hallé Youth Choir, RNCM Chamber Choir and Manchester Chamber Choir, Melodico Chamber Choir and has enjoyed both solo and choral experience with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. Cillian has recently returned from his second trip to Bergen where he performed in his second opera with the Bergen National Opera.
Whilst not singing or conducting Cillian also works as a freelance rehearsal pianist and Celtic harpist. Aside from performing, Cillian is also the co-director of Voiceworks, a youth production company which produces musical productions annually and has recently opened performing arts schools, other producing credits include working with RNCM's Young Company and a project management fellowship with Royal Northern College of Music.
