Ben Cox

Ben is a Musical Director and Composer based in London. He read music at St. Catharine’s College Cambridge, where he was Organ Scholar. Here he helped to found the first collegiate choir for girls in the UK, now celebrating its 10th anniversary. Specialising in composition, he became a Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist when his string quartet ‘In Memoriam’ gained first prize from the Imperial War Museum in 2009. Previous commissions include a set of canticles premiered in St. Paul's Cathedral, a musical-cabaret for the Edinburgh Festival and an opera about St. Catharine of Alexandria.
