Musician Audition Workshop 2025
ABOUT THE MUSICIAN WORKSHOP
We are delighted to invite Musicians to a bespoke 3 hour workshop and rigorous assessment of skills as a new way to auditions for BYMT's 2025 Season of musical theatre.
Run by an industry leading Musical Director alongside the BYMT team, the three hour workshop will give you and us a chance to get to know one another as you will be given the opportunity to play in a group following a conductor and demonstrate your sight-reading skills and abilities to respond to professional band notes. You’ll also have the opportunity to play an individual piece that you have prepared and ask any questions you might have about BYMT and our productions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
On the day, you can expect:
10:00 – 10:15 Get to know you session
10:15 – 11:30 Group performances
11:30 – 12:50 Individual performance pieces
12:50 – 13:00 Further details of BYMT productions and Q&A
WHAT TO PREPARE
We request that attendees prepare an individual piece to perform. Individual pieces can be no longer than a minute in length and should show off your skillset and what musical styles you enjoy!
