An Interview with Summer Camp past participant Konstantin

Do you love to perform but need an extra boost to improve your stage confidence? BYMT’s Summer Camps give you a unique opportunity to harness your creativity and infuse you with the confidence you need to take the stage by storm.

Konstantin, 15 from Cheshire has been offered a place to participate in BYMT’s hit musical production of Paperboy 2019! Before taking on BYMT’s auditions he participated in Edinburgh Summer Camp! Read about his experience below.

What was your favourite thing about your time at BYMT?

I attended the Edinburgh summer camp in 2017 (T’was a Dickens of a Murder). I thoroughly enjoyed every minute; we wrote a play using only Dickens’ famous characters, a few old English songs and our wild imaginations! It was great fun; everyone was involved and we met lots of new people sharing our interests.

What benefits did it bring you?

It gave me an excellent insight into the creative process of putting on a show. It also allowed me to explore different types of theatre (I’d never done a show in-the-round before), and allowed me to boost my stage confidence, working with such a large group of both older and younger people.

Would you recommend it to anyone else? If so why?

I would recommend BYMT’s Summer Camp courses to anyone who would want to boost their skills, and their chances, to pursue the performing arts. It is also a great entry point for anyone who is not so comfortable on the stage!

If like Konstantin you wish to gain invaluable life and performing arts skills while having great fun, don’t think twice! Our BYMT’s Summer Courses are available to BOOK HERE - while spaces last!
