The government has had enough of trying to solve the nation’s problems. Their solution? Outsource it. They hire an “elite” squad of supposed experts: The Headquarters for Effective Legal and Patriotic United Solutions (HELPUS). But even HELPUS is out of ideas… until they land on one last, desperate plan. How (Not) To Save The World will combine the witty rebellion of Matilda, the psychological intrigue of The Truman Show, and the stakes of Lord of the Flies. It’s a story about the power that young people have to imagine new (and better) futures. In the face of climate change and other huge events that impact young people’s futures it’s important to share a powerful story of energy and rebellion, celebrating the joyous resilience of youth and their right to enjoy their childhood, and that's what this stoty hopes to do. How (Not) To Save The World is written by Isabella Waldron and Ben Glasstone. It will be directed by Emily Gray, with musical direction by Ben Glasstone and choreography by Ash Mukherjee.
