About Victoria

Victoria is a Writer, Director and Dramaturg, trained at RADA (MA) and Mountview (BA). Her current writing projects include the stage adaptation of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, a new musical about the Sycamore Gap titled The Gap, and a comedy murder mystery, Dead Funny. Noteable writing credits include The Grand Expedition for Gingerline; By Virtue Fall (Space Theatre); and A Little Bit of Dickens, which toured the UK. She has several short films currently in post-production, including Forty and Stages.

Victoria won the LOST Theatre One Act Play Award (2016) for By Virtue Fall, the Vault Festival’s Outstanding New Work Award for Butter, and was shortlisted for the Northern Writer of the Year Award in 2018.In 2020, she created a suite of postgraduate theatre-making courses for Leeds Conservatoire, which are now in their fourth year.

As a director, Victoria is currently Resident on Hadestown at the Lyric Theatre and will later this year be UK Associate Resident on Beetlejuice at the Prince Edward Theatre. She also directs Sunderland Empire’s annual pantomime for UK Productions. Previous Associate roles include Sister Act (West End, UK tours, Germany and the Netherlands), Rock of Ages (UK and European tour), Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus (The Other Palace), and 27 The Musical (The Cockpit).

Her directing credits include A Good Panto Die Hard (Gilded Balloon); Beauty and the Beast (Bournemouth Pavilion); The Cereal Café (The Other Palace); Three Little Pigs (UK tour); Peter Pan (Chelmsford Theatre); Grimm Tales (Reading Rep); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (St Leonards-on-Sea Festival); and News Revue.
