Evie Press is a composer, lyricist, writer, dramaturg, and director.
She took her first musical to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022 to 5-star reviews. In 2024 she graduated from Leeds Conservatoire with an MA in Musical Theatre Creation.
Evie’s work explores themes of identity, community, and politics, through stories of medieval London mayors, rural funeral homes, and supernatural American road trips. Her music blends the storytelling of musical theatre with the lyricism of folk, inspired by heart-on-sleeve songwriting regardless of genre.
Evie is the the writer of our upcoming summer production of Choreomania, coming to Birmingham Hippodrome this August.
