With over 40 years in the Creative Industries, Elaine Grant is a leading specialist in audience development and community engagement across the arts and culture sector. Through Elaine Grant Creative Consulting, she delivers tailored strategies for theatres, museums, galleries, and heritage sites, helping them reach and retain diverse, underrepresented audiences.
Elaine’s work combines deep knowledge of the Black experience in performing arts with practical expertise in access, inclusion, and education.Â
Previously Head of Access Programmes at Go Live Theatre (formerly Mousetrap Theatre Projects) for 16 years, Elaine curated hundreds of theatre visits and cultural experiences for mainstream and SEND secondary schools. Her consultancy clients include Sadler’s Wells, The Southbank Centre, The Mackintosh Foundation, The National Theatre, The Hayward Gallery and Harewood House, Leeds.
Elaine is an experienced trustee of other Arts and children’s charities and a sponsored governor at Harris Academy Peckham. In 2021, she was recognised as one of the 25 Champions of Black Theatre (Alfred Fagon Awards). Her work continues to shape a more inclusive, connected, and future-ready creative landscape.
