Ben Glasstone is a composer, lyricist and theatre-maker. He has written music and lyrics for The Tempest (RSC/Little Angel), Moominsummer Madness (Royal and Derngate), Michael Rosen’s Pinocchio (Unicorn and Polka), Goldilocks (Lyric Hammersmith), The Lone Pine Club (Pentabus), The Man with the Luggage (Trestle), The Odyssey (Polka), All Join in (Polka) and over a dozen productions for London’s Little Angel Theatre, including Fantastic Mr Fox, Alice in Wonderland and The Night Before Christmas (which he also directed and co-scripted). His long-running musical The Mouse Queen (co-written with Tim Kane) began life at Little Angel, before touring off-Broadway (New Victory Theater) and off-West End (Hampstead and Unicorn). It is currently being developed as a movie script with LRG productions. Ben’s musical Reanimator won the Stiles and Drewe Mentorship Prize in 2017 and premiered in 2023 at Chichester Conservatoire. With P Burton Morgan he has written The Rhythmics (Southwark Playhouse), Cells (youtube) and Sherlock Holmes and the Poison Wood (Watermill). Ben is the artistic director of UK touring company Monstro Theatre (shows include Book Story and The King of Nothing).
