Burst! is Back!
Candoco Dance Company’s exciting week-long music and dance project Burst! returns this year and it's bigger, bolder, and more fun than ever! British Youth Music Theatre is involved for the first time, working with 20 participants to co-create a live performance that will feature at the outdoor Day of Dance Festival in Peckham Library Square on Saturday 29th of July 2023.
Come and enjoy a short outdoor performance by a group of disabled and non-disabled young people, led by Candoco Choreographer Susanna Dye and BYMT Composers Luke Saydon and Meg McGrady.
We have 20 free places for disabled and non-disabled young people who want to take part. 50% of the places are reserved for Peckham residents and/ or those who identify as disabled.
This project is all about creating opportunities for growth and learning, ensuring that young people can reach their full potential. Both BYMT and Candoco Dance Company engage with local residents and foster a vibrant and inclusive artistic community.

If you are interested in the Burst! Project, we are still looking for enthusiastic participants. No experience in dance, movement or music is necessary - just an interest, an open mind and willingness to explore in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment.
The Burst! project will run from:
11:00am - 4:00pm
