When Prior's Field School opened on 23 January 1902, it was the fulfilment of a dream for Julia Huxley. Aldous Huxley, the only boy to have been a pupil at his mother's school, is one of the celebrities on the Sgt Peppers Album Cover. Many of his original features, such as stylised keyholes and air vents, remain and complement the school's building.
