Hertfordshire Summer Camp (2023) | British Youth Music Theatre

Animal Farm
Writer: Tom Ling
Director: Ellie Jones
Musical Director: Josh Kemp
Choreographer: TBC

How does George Orwell’s novella relate to today and how might it be told through music theatre? Come and explore the physicality and musicality of the wonderful animal characters and a story of fake news, cancel culture, blue tick verification and the curtailing of free speech. This will be an Animal Farm reimagined for the Tik Tok generation with music that maintains the disarming fairytale/fable tone in singer/songwriter modern folk styling mashed up with modern music/pop references.

Hertfordshire is sold out. Please email mail@bymt.org to request a spot on our waiting list.

BYMT Camps are one week activity holidays providing intensive, creative training in musical theatre for anyone aged 11-17.
