Jo Meredith

Described as ‘One to Watch’ by dance critic Luke Jennings in The Observer, her work spans dance, theatre and opera. Her choreography has been performed at venues including Sadlers Wells, The Place, The London Palladium and Wilton’s Music Hall. She is the creative director of English National Ballet’s youth dance company ENB Youth Co. She has twice directed Dance Journeys, a large scale education project for ENB, performed with a cast of 100 dancers. 

As a movement director her work includes: Royal Opera House, Main stage, Jette Parker Young Artist Summer Concert. La Scala Di Seta and The Lighthouse, Linbury Studio Theatre, directed by Greg Eldridge. Macbeth directed by Bruno Ravella and A Fairy Queen and Un Ballo in Maschera directed by Tim Nelson at Iford Arts. Siegfried and Gotterdammerung, Longborough Festival Opera. The award winning production of Don Giovanni directed by Lloyd Wood and La Calisto directed by Tim Nelson for English Touring Opera. She re-staged Leah Hausman’s movement for David McVicar’s Royal Opera production of Rigoletto at Teatro Real, Madrid and choreographed Rigoletto for Savonlinna Opera, Finland under the direction of David McVicar. Forthcoming engagements include Tosca for Icelandic Opera and restaging Rigoletto at The Royal Opera.
