Gerry Flanagan

Artistic Director of Shifting Sands Theatre, founded 1998 to create stimulating, accessible theatre that is both comic and emotionally rich. He has performed in and directed or co- directed all the company's shows. He is currently touring The King Lear.

Gerry has taught at Universities and colleges/schools for over 20 years and run a wide range of devising projects. Other directing credits include Box to Hawaii for Theatre Kurt in Frankfurt; Fools!Fools!Fools! and Don’t Let Go! for Chung Ying Theatre Company in Hong Kong; Romeo & Juliet for Pop Theatre also in Hong Kong, When in Rome for Gonzo Moose plus a number of musicals for Youth Music Theatre UK including Great Expectations, Fools Gold and Love and Madness.
