Alison Goldie

Alison Goldie has taught drama, improvisation and comedy for 25 years, to adults and young people of all levels of ability. She is a founder of The Weird Sisters theatre company in which she co-created and performed three award-winning shows which toured internationally, and is a core member of the improvisation troupe, Spontaneous Combustion. Her solo show, Lady in Bed, toured the UK to great acclaim. Alison has been a television and radio presenter for the BBC (The Travel Show, Loose Ends etc.) ITV (Dream Ticket, Carlton Country etc.) and others and was a stand-up comic for several years in her 20’s. She is a theatre director and maker of plays and musicals for companies such as Vienna’s English Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Trinity, Hoxton Drama Group, and British Youth Music Theatre. Her book, The Improv Book: Improvisation for Theatre, Comedy, Education and Life will be published by Oberon in 2015.
