Ali James

Ali James is Movement Director of Mischief Theatre's Magic Goes Wrong and cast member of Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical. Ali is currently directing Forristal & Clarke’s new British musical PS I'm A Terrible Person, a funny and moving story of teenage life with an eating disorder. She loves working with young performers and has choreographed for the National Youth Theatre, The MTA and Chichester University alongside coaching acting at LAMDA and directing at Mountview. She worked for many years with the Palace Youth Theatre, an organisation that inspires younger performers to devise and perform their own work on the beautiful Victorian Palace Theatre stage in Westcliff. Hailing from Essex, Ali curated the musical theatre curriculum at Masters Performing Arts and annually directs Oh Yes It Is!- The Improvised Pantomime and The Southend 24 Hour Improvathon fundraising for UK charities.
